Our New Banana Bread Range!

I’ve found a new lover this winter, and his name is Banana Bread. It was only a year ago when I first started working at Brasserie Bread that I tried the marvellous Spelt & Honey Banana Bread. Toasted. With Pepe Saya butter. My mind was blown.

I was nibbling away on the banana bread with my cup of Allpress coffee, pondering how incomplete my life had been before this day. There’s something magical about digging into a piece of dense banana bread, slathered with delicious cultured butter that slowly melts into the warmth of the toasted bread…

The Spelt & Honey Banana Bread is irresistibly moist and packed full of flavour. Made with whole ripened Australian mashed bananas, organic spelt flour, beautiful honey and sweet cinnamon, this is the kind of banana bread you’ll definitely want to sink your sweet tooth into.

But now (drumroll, please) we’ve got two new flavours joining the happy banana bread family!

Raspberry & Apple Banana Bread

First, let’s talk about the Raspberry & Apple Banana Bread. Containing wholesome bananas, poached apples, raspberries and succulent Persian sour cherries, this is a favourite amongst our cafe regulars. I adore that touch of sourness from the cherries, cutting through the delightful sweet banana flavour.

Blueberry & Pear Banana Bread

Then there’s the Blueberry & Pear Banana Bread, which impresses with lovely cinnamon notes and chunks of stewed pears. And of course the luscious blueberries are always a crowd pleaser. Laced with irresistible honey, you’ll undoubtedly stoop into a sweet, sweet surrender.

My mouth is watering as I’m writing this blog post. I may need to make a sneaky trip downstairs for a slice. Our new banana breads are also available at select cafes across Sydney! Find out which cafes stock our products here.
