The lovely Charlotte at our Banksmeadow Cafe is a bubbly girl from Surrey, whose English accent is as charming and chirpy as her personality. When she’s not filling our cafe with laughter and playful banter, she’s saluting the sun in yoga studios or frolicking in the Tasman sea.
With a degree in Film and English under her belt (or… apron?), she can talk your ears off about Pulp Fiction. But this Tarantino enthusiast isn’t just a film buff – more importantly, she’s a food enthusiast! She confesses that she’s happiest when she’s eating (I vigorously nod my head in agreement).
In her free time you’ll find her cooking Moroccan tagines or serial-watching cooking shows. She particularly adores Jamie Oliver, who she proclaims is her hero and ideal man. Naturally, she has dined at Jamie’s Italian in both England and Sydney – and absolutely loves it.
Her favourite dish on our menu is the Florentine Panini – she claims she could drink a pint of the hollandaise sauce. Easily. But other than copious amounts of hollandaise sauce, Charlotte also enjoys sipping on old fashioned English brew, which at our Sydney Cafe is the Good Morning Tea. Sometimes, when she’s feeling experimental, she’ll mix it up with a peppermint or chamomile tea.
Aside from the food, what she loves most about working at Brasserie Bread is the customers. It’s the regulars that make her day, knowing exactly what takeaway coffee and Danish they’ll be ordering the moment they step foot through our door.
